Installation
At Kelly Roofing, all work is done to town, city, and state codes and includes any required permits. Our typical residential roofing installation:
1. The men will start covering all areas to be protected with tarps and removal of all debris to be removed from the site, leaving all in a broom-clean condition.
2. Following the protection we will remove all shingles down to the roof boards.
3. Next, any rotted wood would be replaced at no additional charge up to 64 square feet; anything after that is $3.00 per square foot.
4. Then we’ll add 8”step flashing at all areas around the chimney, vents, rakes and facias. After that the drip edge is installed.
5. Ice & Water shield, known as “Weather Watch” will be installed 72 inches up from the facias, including valleys.
6. Next is the Shingle Mate Deck Protection (also known as 20 lb. felt paper lining) covering over all areas to be shingled.
7. After all of this preparation comes the installation of the 30-year GAF/ELK Timberline Architectural Shingles in the color of your choice (12 colors to choose from).
8. The project is topped off with a Cobra Ridge Vent, making sure there are enough airflow preventing mold and moister from being built up under the roof.
9. All debris is removed from the site; we like to make your life easier involving your roofing project.
